Hearing implant assessment and consultation

The journey to receiving a hearing implant can be a challenging yet rewarding. Our team of implant specialist audiologists from will guide you throughout the implant process. The initial assessment prior to receiving an implant will take between 1-3 appointments and consists of:

  • Hearing assessment without hearing aids
  • Hearing assessment with hearing aids
  • Assessment of current hearing aid status and function
  • Introduction to implant devices
  • Realistic expectations after considering hearing history
  • Realistic expectations during habilitation to the implant
  • Discussion on financing options and available government subsidies
  • Hearing aid trials
  • Referral to ENTs
